Warranty

Last updated: June 18, 2026

The short version

We build our straps, chain assemblies, and slings right here in Cuba, Missouri, and we stand behind our work. If something we made fails because we got it wrong (bad stitching, a bad weld, a defective component), we'll replace it. No runaround. If it failed because it was overloaded, abused, or simply worn out from use, that's not a defect and it's not covered.

What's covered

  • Manufacturing defects. Defects in materials and workmanship that were present when the product left our shop. Examples: defective stitching or webbing, a faulty ratchet mechanism, a bad weld, or a component that doesn't meet its rating as built.
  • Coverage runs for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  • Coverage applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Your order number is all we need.

What we cover, and what the manufacturer covers

This warranty covers Mid-MO Strap's own assembly and workmanship: our stitching, welds, and fabrication. Manufactured components we resell as-is (such as hooks, ratchets, and other hardware) are covered by their original manufacturer's warranty, and we'll help you pursue a manufacturer claim where one applies.

What's not covered

This is working gear, and working gear wears. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear. Abrasion, fraying, cuts, UV fade, rust, stretched webbing, and the ordinary aging that comes from real use.
  • Abuse, misuse, or neglect. This includes dragging straps under loads, running them over sharp or unprotected edges, chemical exposure, improper storage, or using a product for something it was never made to do.
  • Overloading. Any use beyond the rated Working Load Limit (WLL) voids this warranty entirely. The WLL marked on the product or its tag is the maximum, never the target.
  • Modifications or repairs by anyone other than us. Cutting, re-sewing, re-rigging, swapping hardware, or otherwise altering the product as we built it.
  • Damage caused after delivery. Vehicle accidents, fire, weather, or anything else that isn't a defect in how we made the product.
  • Incidental or consequential damages. Cargo loss, downtime, labor, or other costs beyond the product itself, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Inspect your gear every time

Tie-down, towing, and lifting products must be inspected before each use. Take the product out of service right away if you find cut or frayed webbing, cracked or deformed hooks, stretched or gouged chain links, illegible tags, or any other damage. Continued use of damaged equipment is dangerous and is not covered by this warranty. Warranty claims are subject to our inspection of the returned product before approval.

What we'll do

If we confirm a manufacturing defect, we'll replace the product (or the defective component) at no charge. That's the remedy. If a replacement genuinely isn't possible, we'll refund the purchase price instead. We don't charge you to ship a confirmed-defect replacement back to you.

How to file a claim

  1. Contact us first at support@midmostrap.com with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos of the product.
  2. We'll respond with next steps, usually a prepaid label or instructions for sending the product in for inspection. Don't ship anything back without hearing from us first.
  3. We inspect it. If it's on us, your replacement ships out. If the damage isn't covered, we'll tell you exactly what we found.

One warranty, no upsells

This is our standard warranty and it comes with every product we make. There is no paid or extended warranty to buy, because you shouldn't have to pay extra for us to stand behind our own work.

The legal line

Except as expressly stated above, we make no other warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some states don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. See our Terms of Service for full liability terms.
